This largely undiscovered area of Italy boasts many beaches, charming hill towns and wonderful ancient sites to visit, as well as huge nature reserves for trekking. In the towns and villages along the coast you will find plenty of boutiques and markets.  In the piazzas, there are cafes and ice-cream parlours, ideal for Italian people-watching.

 

The food is excellent with a great variety of restaurants (one of the best in the region is only 7 minutes' walk from the front door).
